User Satisfaction Survey 2023

Earlier this year we conducted the annual Upshot User Satisfaction Survey which was sent to just under 4000 users of the system. 

Our User Survey acts as an incredibly important piece of feedback for us as an organisation. Systems are constantly evolving and developing, and the Upshot system is no different. 

Feedback on our system from our users, those who rely and work on it day-to-day, is invaluable. The feedback helps us shape our development roadmap, tweak processes and constantly improve to meet changing and growing demands. 

Last year, we launched our first ever interactive dashboard to allow users, or those interested in using Upshot, to query our survey responses for themselves and open up our data for a complete picture. 

We champion transparency in data. We also champion the learning from data. Learning what we are doing well, to continue to build on this, but also (and potentially more importantly) learning where we are falling short and where improvements are needed. 

As part of our commitment to transparent impact reporting, we have developed our 2023 public and interactive survey dashboard. On this dashboard, you can query results across our userbase. Data can be queried from specific sectors and feedback can be explored based on the day-to-day roles of our users. 

This year, we've also produced a detailed FAQ document to thematically address questions and challenges that were posed to us in our survey - with several already having solutions available. 

The Upshot Team, through the System and our services, have always strived to make impact measurement more accessible for the third sector. We work to support organisations better use and understand their data. When Upshot became a standalone social enterprise several years ago, this mission became locked into our constitution. The feedback we receive from our users helps us understand how we're performing on making this possible. 

Going forward, to address the needs of our user base we will be: 

  • Delivering more frequent training opportunities in different formats to users to help them understand the capabilities of Upshot and improve confidence using the System. 
  • Widening our scope of services to support organisations on their measurement strategy and reporting on/communicating impact.
  • Making enhancements and developments to the System itself to improve the quality of data going into Upshot, ease of use and reporting on the data that has been collected.
